The Face Of God

Driving to see the giant red woods in California yesterday was awe inspiring. To see the creation of God and his handy work drops my jaw and makes me drool with the wonders of what God has done. The details and intricacies that went into the simplest fern to the grander of trees that are 300 feet tall shows me not just the power of God but the loving care of his handy work.

Yesterday I saw the fantastic handy work of God but today I am headed off to see the Face of God. This is not a blasphemous rumor but instead a strange way in which I look at the reality of my life. The power of the ocean, the consistency of the coastal winds and the uncountable grains of sand on the beach to me is the closest thing that man can see that shows the face of God.

I am headed to the beach to enjoy the rest of the day but I will spend time looking at the "Face of God". I will feel closer and have a better understanding of the omnipotence and omnipresence of  the Creator. I will feel my spirit revived and ready to tackle the rest of the week solely because I will know that I stood in the Presence of God. I have had to make some hard choices over the last few days but I now understand fully how blessed I truly am and understand Agape love.

I have never had a deeper sense of peace then I do now even though I am in the midst of a turbulent time in my life. Nothing is bad but instead I wake up everyday to new situations and choices so as I head off to stand before God I am more excited then ever to thank him for the gift of love that I have received and with the full knowledge that I am blessed well beyond what most people will ever experience.
